As an emerging artist, it is SOOO rewarding and exciting when a piece of work is purchased. To know that my creative expression resonated with another person to such an extent, that they purchased a piece and gave it a 'home'. I don't know who the buyer is - but I send my heartfelt 'thank you'.
Three paintings that were on display at Vertigo Gallery are now happily hanging in a new home. Thank you for visiting my blog! I have not even started this lesson - I'm away on vacation and although I brought my art supplies with me.... well, I just haven't had time to work on the assignment, and probably the same situation for Lesson 10.
I will complete these when I get home and post as soon as I can. Thanks for your continued support! This week's assignment focuses on creating quiet space AND leaving busy space. I started with some of the pieces I painted a few weeks ago, and made them even busier - imagine!!
Then I applied several layers of paint over sections to quiet down the busyness and make space for the focal point. These are NOT 'finished'.! I have some commitments that took more time than expected and I had to wrap up before I was ready. However, you can see how they are evolving. I have included the starting point images under the 'finished' piece. |
